Authorities in Kenya say around 6,000 children go missing every year which translates to 18 children disapperaing each day. Parents of the missing young ones are helpless not knowing when their children will return.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said the children were evacuated from an orphanage in Khartoum, where they were trapped by ongoing fighting.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday visited a hospital that admitted four children injured a day earlier in a stabbing attack. The children were wounded on Thursday in the Alpine town of Annecy in the eastern Haute-Savoie region.
