Architecture is meant to bring people together: That’s Francis Kéré’s motto. The architect from Africa has his office in Berlin. In 2021, he was named architect of the year in Germany.

Nigeria’s renowned architect, Fola Alade died on Saturday at the age of 87 according to a statement released by his family. Alade was the brain behind architectural masterpieces including the 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos; the National Stadium, Lagos; and the Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square.
