Nigeria’s renowned architect, Fola Alade died on Saturday at the age of 87 according to a statement released by his family. Alade was the brain behind architectural masterpieces including the 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos; the National Stadium, Lagos; and the Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square.
