A group of protesters rallied along the Lekki-Epe expressway on Thursday to mark the second anniversary of the country's Endsars protest again police brutality.
The protesters claimed that a recent suicide bombing in Kabul was specifically meant to target girls of the historically oppressed Hazara community. The UN says 35 were killed and 82 wounded.
Thousands of Angolans have taken to the streets of the country's capital to protest against alleged electoral fraud. The demonstrations were called by the main opposition party, UNITA.

Progressive US lawmaker Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez was arrested on Tuesday at an abortion rights protest. Donning bandanas reading "We won't back down", she along with other prominent Democratic lawmakers marched from the Capitol building to the Supreme Court, denouncing the Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. In total, 35 people were arrested, including 17 - exclusively Democratic - members of Congress.

Hundreds demonstrated in Tunis on Sunday (June 19) in a second day of protest against a constitutional referendum called by President Kais Saied that his opponents say would cement his hold on power. The demonstration was organized by the Salvation Front, a coalition including the moderate Islamist Ennahda, the largest party in a parliament that Saied dissolved in March.
