USA: ‘I’ve been waiting my entire life’ – Bucks fans ecstatic after first NBA title in 50 years

Bucks fans were seen in front of the official team shop outside the home stadium of the Milwaukee Bucks Fiserv Forum on Wednesday in downtown Milwaukee after their side won the NBA title the previous night. The Milwaukee Bucks won their first NBA championship in 50 years with some fans having waited their whole lives to see the team.

A portion of the US border wall that was damaged after severe flooding in August following monsoon rains on the US-Mexico border appears to be rotting away according to footage captured near the town of Douglas, Arizona on Tuesday. The monsoon rains had reportedly blown the floodgates off their hinges where now they hang rotting away. The Biden administration has begun cancelling the border wall project in Texas, a main focal point of former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign.

Martin Luther King III, son of the iconic civil rights activist Dr Martin Luther King Jr, was arrested while protesting for voting rights in front of the White House on Wednesday as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act was blocked in the US Senate. He and scores of other protesters were detained before later being released. The reasons for the arrests remain unclear. The 13-year-old granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr, Yolanda King, gave a speech at the rally.

Manchester United Plc's first-quarter loss narrowed as the end of COVID-19 curbs in England allowed fans to return to its Old Trafford stadium at full capacity, offsetting a rise in salaries since the return of Cristiano Ronaldo in August. The club, owned by the American Glazer family, on Wednesday posted a loss of 15.5 million pounds ($20.85 million) for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with a loss of 30.3 million pounds in the same period a year ago when COVID-19 disrupted sporting calendars and shuttered stadiums.
