AI Act: EU reaches ‘historic’ deal on regulating artificial intelligence

After three days of intense negotiations between member states and the European Parliament, the EU has reached an agreement on a framework to regulate artificial intelligence. The AI Act is the first text of its kind in the world. The "political agreement" is expected to promote innovation in Europe, while limiting the potential pitfalls of this cutting-edge technology.
