Voters are heading for the polls in the US state of Virginia in a closely watched election that is seen as an early referendum on the presidency of Donald Trump and an indicator of Democratic prospects in the 2018 midterm congressional races.

Chinese private investment in Uganda is growing while Westerners are losing appetite to put money to work in the country, President Yoweri Museveni told Reuters, pledging to step up efforts to tackle corruption which has made slow progress.
