Trump loses his edge in the rural state of Iowa

US President Donald Trump comfortably won by 9.4 points in Iowa in 2016, but it now joins the list of states where he is losing his lead. Several polls now show Trump neck and neck with opponent and former vice president Joe Biden since September.

Last weekend, the US was hit by a cluster of perhaps the most devastating tornadoes in its history. In Kentucky alone, more than 70 people are known to have been killed by the severe weather system, and deaths were also reported in Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee.
