Cargo ship breaks in two off Turkey coast.

An Orbital ATK rocket launches a cargo ship from Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia to the International Space Station on Sunday a day after the launch was scrapped due to a rogue aircraft.

The SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft, carrying supplies and scientific materials, was successfully released from the International Space Station on Saturday and landed in the Pacific Ocean, after a month-long delivery mission for NASA.

Three weeks after a cargo ship ran aground, efforts are being made to prevent an oil leak on to the world's largest raised coral atoll becoming an ecological disaster in the Solomon Islands. The area is a UNESCO site.

Authorities near the Dutch the city of Rotterdam are trying to remove a metro train from the tracks after it was saved from crashing to the ground by a large sculpture of a whale's tail.

Dramatic footage shows a crew member of a Dutch cargo ship throwing himself into the sea after the ship began listing heavily and was too dangerous to stay aboard. Norwegian emergency services rescued the 12 crew members of the "Eemslift Hendrika", with some being airlifted to safety and others having to jump into the water. The vessel which was carrying several mid-sized boats between Bremerhaven in Germany and the port of Kolvereid ran into difficulty in the Norwegian Sea and there are now fears that it could capsize.

The Eemslift Hendrika was adrift off the coast of Norway, and had the potential to dump hundreds of tons of oil into the sea.

An electric car aboard the Fremantle Highway carrier is believed to have caught fire, according to Dutch media. The ship was carrying nearly 3,000 cars en route from Germany to Egypt.

Southwesterly winds mean it's not yet possible to safely tow the ship further away from the environmentally sensitive location it is in now. It is carrying over 3,780 vehicles, including some 500 electric cars.

The fire on a freighter loaded with thousands of cars appears to have burnt itself out. Although the vessel seems stable, there are still concerns over potential risks.

According to its defense ministry, a Russian warship fired warning shots at a vessel headed to Ukraine in the Black Sea. It is the first such incident since Moscow exited the UN-brokered grain deal.

Ukraine said the first commercial cargo ship has left the port through a "humanitarian corridor" after Moscow threatened to sink such vessels. The ship set sail despite a new bombardment along the Danube River.
