A huge indictment on the government of the time, Mallam. Now that we know the reasons behind the crisis, is your government likely to follow past precedence’s? When crucial arrests are made, are you going to allow religion or ethnicity becloud your decisions before, during and after the court processes? It is common to find people condemning Northern governors for not only looking the other way as these killings took place but also losing interest in such cases altogether, especially when arrests are made.
It would be very important that a strong warning is sent to these killers who, as things appear, think and feel they enjoy the support of the establishment and, therefore possess the license to carry out such atrocities. The most effective way to achieve this is to ensure that these killers are not only CAUGHT IN THE ACT but are made to face the penalty for their acts. It is just an advice, and you are free to ignore it. I can assure you the world is watching, Mallam.
We will review and take appropriate action.
