Protesting workers want National Assembly clerk fired over unpaid wages

Hundreds of National Assembly workers under the auspices of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) on Tuesday grounded activities at the Assembly over owed salaries and allowances.

Deji Adeyanju, a civil activist who led the protesters to the National Assembly gate described the bills as “obnoxious”. The protesters carried placards bearing various inscriptions aimed at rejecting the bills.
