The world's biggest electric passenger ferry sails between Denmark and Sweden for a 4km journey. The ferry "works pretty much like a phone", that charges for up to nine minutes when it needs more power, explains Jens Ole Hansen, the COO of ForSea, which operates the line.

80-year-old sailor and journalist Jimmy Cornell starts his around-the-world tour from Seville to mark the 500th anniversary of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan and Spanish sailor Juan Sebastian Elcano's expedition that resulted in the Earth's first circumnavigation.
