The desperate search to locate the missing submersible that disappeared near the wreck of the Titanic has entered a critical stage today, with just hours of oxygen supply believed to be left.

Underwater noises heard during the frantic search for the Titan submersible have sparked fresh hope of finding the missing vessel. The sounds were picked up by a Canadian aircraft using buoys with underwater sonar capabilities. Remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) were then deployed to further investigate the origin of the "banging" sounds, but have yielded no results so far. As of Thursday, the Libyan Red Crescent said that 11,300 people have been killed, and a further 10,100 are reported missing.
