Covid 19: WHO warns ‘alarming’ third wave hits Africa

The WHO is warning that new cases of Covid-19 have been rising since the beginning of May across Africa. Also, coastal cities such as Cape Town are in need of urgent action to fend off the effects of climate change, according to a leaked UN climate report seen by AFP. And dozens of incidents of assault on homosexual people have been registered in Senegal in recent weeks. Many gay men and women are fearing for their safety in a climate of increased homophobia.
