Today we honor the selfless individuals who voluntarily donate blood to save lives in our community and the world at large. You are the real heroes without capes. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, only a few people make it a mission to voluntarily donate blood. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Nigeria needs an estimated 1.8 million units of blood per year due to its approximate population of 200 million. Every day, someone needs a blood transfusion to stay alive. If you are eligible, please consider making a donation, and save as many lives as possible.
