Volodymyr Zelensky, a 41-year-old comedian, is inaugurated as Ukraine's president and announces the dissolution of parliament in his inaugural speech. "I dissolve the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation," the newly sworn-in president said during the ceremony in parliament in Kiev.

Following the first round of Ukraine's presidential vote, TV comedian Volodymyr Zelensky is leading the pack far ahead of President Petro Poroshenko, exit polls show. Poroshenko said the result was a "harsh lesson."
