Public servants in Nigeria, where the monthly minimum wage is ₦30,000 – a figure currently less than $100 – are protesting the move by the National Assembly to remove the minimum wage act from the exclusive list. They also want some of the highest-paid elected officials in the world to prioritise the wellbeing of workers and cut down on wasteful spending.⁣
