Last week, a 17-year-old girl was killed by her husband in Iran. A gruesome video showing the alleged killer holding a knife in one hand and his wife's head in the other went viral before being taken down. The victim was married when she was just 12 years old and had a son. Her name was Mona and she had reportedly fled to Turkey for four months before being persuaded by her father to return.

A jury in the US state of Georgia has found three white men guilty of murder in the 2020 killing of Black jogger Ahmaud Arbery. The men had followed Arbery in a truck as he ran though a neighborhood.

Ibrahim Rotich, the husband of slain Kenyan Olympic runner Agnes Tirop, was charged with her murder and pleaded not guilty in a Kenyan court on Tuesday (November 16). Rotich, 41, had been ordered last week to undergo a mental health test before entering a plea. Tirop was found stabbed to death at her home in the Rift Valley town of Iten on Oct. 13, in a case that has shone a spotlight on violence against women in the east African country. Rotich appeared in court in handcuffs, wearing a black jacket and a cap. He looked down at the floor for most of the proceedings.
