Nigeria's reality TV show 'Gulder Ultimate Search' makes a return Seven years after it was rested. Organizers unveiled 20 contestants for Season 12 of the show on Sunday, September 26 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos. Tagged 'The Age of Craftmanship, the show, the winner of the new seasons will walk away with N50 Million naira cash prize. The new seasons will be anchored by a former winner and actor, Kunle Remi.

A cartridge of Nintendo's classic video game "Super Mario 64" sets a world record, selling for $1.56 million (€1.32 million) after a 20% buyer's premium at the Dallas-based Heritage Auctions. The sale, the first ever of a game cartridge to surpass $1 million, came just two days after a sealed copy of "The Legend of Zelda", made for the old Nintendo NES console, sold for a then-record of $870,000.

Despite a severe shortage of foreign exchange (forex), overseas education continues to drain the country’s resources, as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, admitted $80 million weekly disbursements for personal travel allowances or payment of overseas school fees. The amount, which translates to $960 million yearly, is disbursed to banks to enable Nigerians to meet their forex responsibilities.
This is after a recent report indicated that Nigerians spend £30 million (about N20 billion) yearly paying tuition in the United Kingdom alone while the country’s education system grapples with challenges of underfunding, poor remuneration, and obsolete teaching facilities.

Sacha Jafri, a British artist, has taken over the ballroom of a luxury hotel in Dubai to produce the largest painting ever created on canvas. The 1,980-square-meter (over 21,000 square feet) artwork will be cut into separate panels, which the painter is auctioning off in the hope of raising $30 million for charity.
