Tesla CEO, Elon Musk recently acquired Twitter after the board agreed to the takeover bid by the Billionaire, marking a dramatic reversal of its earlier hesitation to accept the offer. Musk reportedly paid $54.20 (€50.8) per share in cash, or $44 billion, to take a 38% stake in the messaging platform. The takeover has however been welcomed with mixed feelings with many expressing fears that Musk may alter the way the platform operates.

This week, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey announced he was stepping down as CEO, and named Parag Agrawal, the company's chief technology officer, as his replacement.⁣ ⁣ Agrawal has played a key role in driving the "re-acceleration" of Twitter's growth and helped oversee its fledgling cryptocurrency initiatives and machine learning efforts, a possible nod to why the Indian-American may have been the top choice for the CEO position.⁣ ⁣

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is stepping down as chief executive of the company. He will be replaced by the current chief technical officer, Parag Agrawal, Twitter said. Mr Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, has been serving as chief executive of both Twitter and payment firm Square.

Now a partner at the impact investor Astanor Ventures, he has long called for the private sector to play a greater role in the fight against climate change.
