People wounded in a deadly airstrike in Ethiopia's war-torn northern Tigray region arrive at Mekele hospital. A regional health officer told AFP at least 64 people had died from the attack with more than 180 injured. The bomb struck a busy market as elsewhere in the country ballot-counting wasunderway following national elections. No voting had taken place in Tigray due to the conflict.
The attack comes after Ethiopians recently voted in a parliamentary election. The US has previously accused Ethiopian government forces of ethnic cleansing in the Tigray region.
