RCCG Ordains Pastors, Dedicates Auditorium

THE Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), last Sunday, ordained about 1, 184 new pastors into its fold as part of events to mark the church’s 63rd yearly convention.

Being one of the largest Pentecostal churches in Africa, the programme witnessed millions of worshippers, who turned out to seek the Lord’s face.

The ordination, which held at the new nine square kilometres auditorium situated between Sagamu in Ogun State and Ikorodu in Lagos State, was also dedicated during the convention.

Vice President of Nigeria and a pastor with RCCG, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo appreciated God for the gift of a new auditorium and successful conclusion of a wonderful convention.

While praying for the ordainees, the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye described them as unique. He noted that they are the first set to be ordained in the new auditorium and urged all church members to continually pray for them to be successful in their callings.

“This set of pastors are special, as they are the first to be ordained in this auditorium. I pray that whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loosen on earth will be loosened in heaven. You will not fail, God will stand by you, uphold you and you will stand till the very end,” he said.

Rev. Joe Olaiya of the Living Faith Foundation, Kaduna, who spoke to journalists after the programme, said the church needs faith, love and truth to standout.

“What you want to do to others, make sure it is what you want people to do to you. Be truthful and fair, and you will not have problem in life,” he said.

He added that the churches are facing challenges today because the last days are here.

Said he: “With the gay factor acceptable to leaders of the world, it shows that the days of Sodom and Gomorrah are here. If you want to know, judgment and Rapture are close at hand. The church had better woken up, gather it’s harvest and be ready.”

At the end of the event, a total of 114 babies (58 girls and 56 boys) were given birth to at the venue, while the programme lasted.
