Film show: ‘Last Words’ director Jonathan Nossiter on portraying a post-apocalyptic world

The year is 2086 and the planet's last inhabitants are grappling with submerged continents, a lethal virus and barren soils. That's the premise for "Last Words", Jonathan Nossiter's latest film which was part of this year's official selection at the Cannes Film Festival. The director joins us in the studio to tell us more about making movies on the precipice of climate disaster, about the prophetic nature of the Covid-19 pandemic and why a young refugee brought the necessary life experience to the protagonist of "Last Words".
