Demand at South Africa’s weekly bond auction fell after the country raised issuance to a record, partly to fund the rescue of troubled state-owned company Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s finance minister responded to the country’s worsening economic crisis last week by blacking out inflation statistics for the next six months.
