‘A total absence of social responsibility’: Dutch papers condemn Covid-19 riots

Papers in the Netherlands condemn a third night of riots over the country's Covid-19 restrictions. For NRC Handelsblad, the rioters are "indefensible" but the government also deserves blame for failing to communicate the urgency of the health crisis. We also look at growing calls to change the date of "Australia Day", which many have come to think of as "Invasion Day", plus Joe Biden's rollback of a ban on transgender people serving in the military. Finally, a reminder that sometimes the best remedy for stress is a good old-fashioned cry.
