Every November 19th is International Men’s Day.
This day is not about celebrating perfection. It is about honoring *positive contributions and acknowledging the true, essential code of what it means to be a man in today’s world.
What is that code?
It begins with Responsibility. A man owns his actions, acknowledges his mistakes, and never outsources his duties—whether to his family, his community, or his word. He is a provider, yes, but he provides stability, direction, and safety, not just resources.
It requires Courage. Not the absence of fear, but the daily act of moving forward against all odds. It is the courage to be honest about his struggles, the courage to be vulnerable with those he loves, and the courage to choose the difficult, right path over the easy wrong ones.
Finally, it demands Integrity. A man’s worth is measured not by his possessions or his status, but by how he treats those from whom he has nothing to gain. He is superior only to the man he was yesterday. His purpose is to **build*—to build a stronger family, a better community, and a legacy of character.
To the men and boys who lead by example, who uphold the code, and who commit daily to being better than who they were yesterday……
Happy International Men’s Day.
