Tuchel and the FA came to an agreement and the contract was signed on 8 October - two days before England's loss to Greece. The German has signed an 18-month contract and will begin his new role in January 2025. English coach Anthony Barry, who worked with Tuchel at Chelsea and Bayern, will be his assistant.
