Three Bigwigs have contested, Edo State residents have shown up, votes have been counted and a winner has finally been declared. Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress today, the 22nd of September has been announced winner of the 2024 Edo State gubernatorial elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with 291,667 votes. While the People’s Democratic Party trailed behind with a total of 247, 274 votes, the Labour Party came in third place with 22,761 votes, bringing the long-anticipated day to an end.
