Taliban co-founder Baradar arrives in Afghanistan

Taliban-affiliated Al Hijrat TV releases footage of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar's arrival in Afghanistan on August 17. Baradar, now deputy leader of the Taliban, chose to touch down in Afghanistan's second biggest city Kandahar -- the Taliban's spiritual birthplace and capital during their first period in power. He arrived from Qatar, where he spent months leading fruitless talks with the United States and negotiators from the overthrown former Afghan government.
