Population 1.4bn, but China women’s football scraping the barrel

While China has qualified for next month's Women's World Cup for a seventh time in eight editions and boasts a record the men's side can only envy, the country of 1.4 billion still struggles to find girls to take up the sport, with some families feeling girls should stay indoors learning piano or dance.
