Beyond minimum wage

May Day popularly called Workers Day is an annual celebration of workers globally. In Nigeria, the day was marked with marches and processions by the organised labour unions across the country. Amid calls by labour unions for government to consider a new minimum wage of between N56,000 and N90,000, labour should look beyond the increase in wages.
