Following the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, convention ongoing at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, one of the 13 aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket, Tanimu Turaki, has asked PDP delegates to vote for Saraki if, for whatever reasons, they reject him.
Port Harcourt’s deadly soot
Soot is a mass of impure carbon particles resulting from the incomplete combustion of hydrocarbons. It is more properly restricted to the product of the gas-phase combustion process but is commonly extended to include the residual pyrolysed fuel particles such as coal, cenospheres, charred wood, and petroleum coke that may become airborne during pyrolysis.
Rainstorm ravages Rivers
Port Harcourt, Rivers State was ravaged by a rainstorm on Monday, May 7. The devastation wreaked havoc in Rumuola, Aba Road and GRA between 2:30 and 3 pm. The powerful storm tore off roofs of buildings, knocked down trees and damaged some buildings.
