Every day, 3,500 people turn up at the two distribution points run in Milan by the charity, which hands out surplus food it receives from a range of organisations, as well as through individual donations.

Milan wakes up to a thick 15 centimetre layer of snow covering the city. The main roads have been cleared by municipal vehicles but many secondary roads remain covered and the main trams heading towards the city centre have stopped. In the Villapizzone district, west of the city, the snow is causing traffic problems.

Nigeria has confirmed its first case of #coronavirus since its outbreak in china in January 2020. The virus was confirmed by the Lagos State Ministry of Health on the 27th of February in an Italian citizen who entered Nigeria on the 25th of February from Milan Italy for a brief business visit. He fell ill on the 26th and was transferred to Lagos State Biosecurity Facility for isolation and testing.
