A private seed firm spent two months designing and planting purple and green rice over the 13 hectares (33 acres) of land to make the portrait of the father of current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Aerial images show a wide crack in the ice, vast iceberg almost the size of Greater London has broken away from the Antarctic ice shelf near a British research station. The iceberg measuring 1,270 square kilometres (490 square miles) had broken off from the 150-metre-thick Brunt Ice Shelf in a process called "calving", almost a decade after scientists of the British Antarctic Survey first detected growth of vast cracks in the shelf.
