Funerals have been held in southern Gaza for four members of the Ezz-Al Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. Their bodies were found in a tunnel, reportedly killed by Israel airstrikes before a ceasefire ended the recent 11-day conflict.

Khine Zar Thwe's portrait, flashing the anti-coup three-finger salute, was proudly displayed on her coffin at her funeral. The 26-year-old protester was shot in the head in March, and was one of hundreds to lose their lives in protests since a military coup on February 1.

Funerals were held on Saturday (March 31) for Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces who confronted protesters a day earlier. On Friday, at least 15 Palestinians were killed, some of whom the military said had opened fire, rolled burning tyres and hurled rocks and fire bombs toward troops across the border.
