Robinhood CEO, Reddit influencer grilled in US Congress over GameStop frenzy

The CEO of Robinhood, a Reddit influencer and Wall Street hedge fund managers have all faced a grilling from US lawmakers over the recent frenzy around GameStop. The House Financial Services Committee asked six key witnesses whether the extreme volatility in the shares last month, which rose almost 2,000 percent in a short space of time, exposed questionable market practices and potential conflicts of interest. But first, Renault booked a net loss of €8 billion for 2020 as global car sales dropped by more than a fifth, although the situation recovered strongly in the second half of the year.
