Roger Federer is auctioning t-shirts, racquets, and shoes from his trophy-laden tennis career after delving into the vast memorabilia archive stored up for years by his wife and family. The sports legend is hoping to raise £1 million ($1.4 million, 1.15 million euros) for the Roger Federer Foundation, which supports educational projects in southern Africa and his native Switzerland.

Youssef Abdelkarim's storefront on one of Baghdad's most historic streets is a time capsule - literally. Thousands of wristwatches fill the tiny shop, where three generations have repaired Iraq's oldest timepieces. The dusty display window on Rasheed Street features a single row of classic watches in their felt boxes right at the front, with a mountain of haphazardly piled pieces behind it and others hanging from hooks overhead.

A month after cannabis was removed from Thailand's narcotics list, a Thai hospital restaurant has rolled out a weed-inspired menu which has curious customers flocking to get a taste. Located in a wellness centre of Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr hospital in Prachinburi, about two hours from Bangkok, the restaurant uses up to five leaves in dishes, some of which were traditionally cooked with cannabis before it became illegal.
