Partial solar eclipse seen from Hong Kong’s harbour

In Hong Kong, dozens of skywatchers ranging from astronomy enthusiasts with telescopes to families enjoying Father's Day gathered at a waterfront park in east Kowloon to witness the partial solar eclipse. Observers along a narrow band from Africa to Asia can witness a dramatic "ring of fire" annular eclipse, but in Hong Kong only a partial solar eclipse - one that covered nearly nine-tenth of the sun - can be seen.
