London’s Gatwick Airport closed due to drones over airfield

Multiple sightings of unmanned aerial vehicles over the airport's runway grounded and rerouted flights overnight. Gatwick is Britain's second-busiest airport after Heathrow.

After 11 months it was closed to traffic, the Toyota-Murtala Mohammed Airport Road link bridge has opened to traffic. Repair works commenced on the damaged bridge after six months of closure and it was meant to open to traffic by the end of September but the government further delayed reopening to carry out additional work.

The MMIA terminal, estimated to be worth over $100 million, is one of the five airports – Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu – that benefited from the 2013 loan deal between Nigeria and China for the building of new terminals. Port Harcourt and Abuja terminals had been opened since 2018.
