‘Last party’ for Dutch as new virus lockdown starts

Dutch revellers have a last night out before police arrive to enforce new rules to curb a surge in coronavirus infections in the Netherlands, with all restaurants and bars closing their doors for four weeks.

After beginning a strike one week ago, the United Auto Workers union has increased the number of plants affected by industrial action. Until now, workers have been striking at three sites, one each for Ford, General Motors and Stellantis.
