Heavy snow in Milan disrupts traffic

Milan wakes up to a thick 15 centimetre layer of snow covering the city. The main roads have been cleared by municipal vehicles but many secondary roads remain covered and the main trams heading towards the city centre have stopped. In the Villapizzone district, west of the city, the snow is causing traffic problems.
