Floridians board up homes and businesses ahead of Dorian

People and tourists in the city of Riviera Beach in Florida continue to prepare, and begin evacuating the beach as Hurricane Dorian makes landfall in the Bahamas. Forecasters believe the Category 5 storm will move closer to the east coast of Florida on Monday evening, into Tuesday.

Video footage taken by a local resident shows a large portion of a 12-story building in the town of Surfside -- just north of Miami Beach -- reduced to rubble, with the apartments' interiors exposed, sparking a major emergency response. It was unclear how many people lived in the building or who had been inside at the time, but local news station NBC 6 South Florida reported that firefighters pulled one boy from the rubble alive.
