Floods continue to swamp central Malaysia

Floods continue to swamp many parts of central Malaysia on Friday, after deep waters caused by heavy rains displaced nearly 50,000 people and killed at least four people. Flooding hits the country's east coast during the rainy season annually and regularly results in mass evacuations, but people in some areas say this year's are the worst in decades.

About 39,000 residents have been affected and 14 died people at a hospital after flooding disrupted the power supply and life-sustaining oxygen treatment.
