The one year anniversary of George Floyd’s death is marked in Minneapolis with a candlelight vigil. Hundreds gathered on the street corner where Floyd was suffocated after being pinned down under the knee of Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin on May 25, 2020. Meanwhile, Floyd's relatives were hosted by President Joe Biden in the Oval Office to discuss a proposed bill to be named after Floyd that would increase police accountability and curb their powers.
