Activist Chanel Contos on the importance of sexual consent education

A woman who is leading what is quickly becoming a worldwide campaign to stop sexual violence has told FRANCE 24 why she believes consent education in schools is the best way to drastically reduce the problem. Chanel Contos was sexually assaulted at just 13 years old and at the time didn't even realise that what happened to her was wrong.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer and Lindsey Hill, who accused him of sexual assault, have settled their lawsuit outside of court. Hill accused Bauer of two instances of sexual assault, with the district attorney's office refusing to press criminal charges. Despite Bauer not being found guilty of the crime, MLB suspended him for 324 games and was later released by the Dodgers.
