Two cars are seen destroyed in Kabul after the United States said it carried out an air strike on Sunday night in Kabul on an IS-prepared car bomb. The US military said it was "aware of reports of civilian casualties" from the strike, which came after an attack outside the airport late last week killed more than 100 people, including 13 American troops.

The United States is investigating whether civilians may have been killed in an air strike it launched to destroy a car laden with explosives in the Afghan capital Kabul. Witnesses and some media reports say a number of children were among those killed in Sunday's air strike in the crowded capital, where thousands of Afghans are still trying to flee the Taliban. The vehicle was reportedly a threat to Kabul airport and was linked to the regional Islamic State chapter.

Hundreds of school children stormed the Democratic Republic of Congo's parliament on Thursday (October 21) amid a strike by school teachers over unresolved issues related to the roll-out of government's free primary education program.
