The National Assembly on Thursday, approved 16 recommendations contained in the report of the National Assembly joint committee on Finance and National Planning, on the 2020-2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper.

A group of protesters on Wednesday went to the National Assembly to demand the withdrawal of the bills on hate speech and social media. Deji Adeyanju, a civil activist who led the protesters to the National Assembly gate described the bills as “obnoxious”.
