Oshiomhole commends Supreme court judgment on Imo governorship election

Former vice president and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has called on his party to mobilise against what he described as “threats to democracy” by the Supreme Court judgement that ordered the removal of Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP, as Imo State governor, and his replacement with Hope Uzodinnma of the All progressives Congress.

A few hours after receiving the Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Senator Hope Uzodinma, was sworn in as the Governor of Imo State.

For the second time, the Supreme Court has adjourned hearing in the application by the former Governor of Imo State, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, seeking a reversal of his sack by the apex court early this year.
