Nigeria in focus: Rethinking relations with the West

There is international concern about deepening turmoil in Chad following the death of President Idriss Deby. His absence throws the battle against jihadist groups in the Sahel into doubt. We also hear from former US Ambassador to Nigeria John Campbell about his hopes for Western nations to rethink their diplomatic dealings with Africa's most populous country. And in South Africa, sections of a nearly 100-year-old library containing rare manuscripts on African studies have been lost in the blaze that engulfed parts of the University of Cape Town this week.
