Imo APC Crisis: Ex-senator’s aide, three others arrested

The Nigerian Police Force said it arrested four suspects for criminal conspiracy, forgery, stealing and unlawful possession of electoral materials meant for the aborted APC ward congress in Imo.

Oil giant Shell will pay a Nigerian community $111m (£80m) over an oil spill more than 50 years ago. A spokesman said the payment would mark the "full and final settlement" to the Ejama-Ebubu community over a spill during the 1967-70 Biafran War. Clashes erupted in Nairobi after a Kenyan police officer shot dead six people in a rampage on Tuesday (December 7) and then shot and killed himself, a senior police officer and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said. The officer first shot and killed his wife at their home before setting off with his service-issued AK-47 rifle to shoot dead another four people, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said on its Twitter account, describing the shooter as a "rogue officer".
